Qualification: Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline (such as Zoology, Horticulture, Agriculture, Forestry, Botany, etc.).
Age Limit (as of 1st July 2024):
Minimum Age: 18 years
Maximum Age: 30 years (with age relaxation as per rules)
Physical Standards:
For Men:
- Height: Not less than 163 cm
- Chest: 79 cm (on full inspiration, an expansion of not less than 5 cm)
- Able to walk 25 km in 4 hours
For Women:
- Height: Not less than 150 cm
- Chest: 74 cm (on full inspiration, an expansion of not less than 5 cm)
- Able to walk 16 km in 4 hours
- Special height standards apply to certain candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes and specific races.

- Other Candidates: Rs. 370/- (Application Processing Fee: Rs. 250/- + Examination Fee: Rs. 120/-)
- SC/ST/BC/PWD/Ex-Servicemen Candidates: Rs. 250/- (Application Processing Fee: Rs. 250/- + Examination Fee: Nil)
- Other State Candidates: Rs. 370/- (prescribed fee of Rs. 120/- + Application processing fee of Rs. 250/-)
- Application correction fee: Rs. 100/- (per correction, except for Name, Fee, and age relaxation)
